Tupy’s CEO is ranked among the best in Brazil according to Forbes

Published last week, the October edition of the Forbes Brasil magazine ranks Brazil’s top 10 CEOs. Among them is Fernando de Rizzo, the CEO of Tupy, a Brazilian multinational company headquartered in the city of Joinville, state of Santa Catarina. The metrics evaluated by the magazine, in partnership with the CEO/C-Level Program of @FGV, include financial indicators (revenue, profit and valuation) and the commitment to the ESG agenda of each company.
In 2021, Tupy posted the highest net revenue of its 84 years of
history – ¬R$7.1 billion. The Company maintained the same pace in the second quarter of this year: revenue and net income were the highest ever – R$2.5 billion (a 54% growth).
Mr. Rizzo told the magazine that the Company’s path has been increasingly connected with society’s current challenges, the low-carbon economy and diversification. These are initiatives undertaken by “a team with great leadership and execution capacity”.

Starting out as an intern
Before becoming Tupy’s CEO, Mr. Fernando Cestari de Rizzo held various leadership positions in Engineering, Strategic Planning, Marketing, Sales and Manufacturing. Over his 30-year career at the Company, where he started out as an intern,
Mr. Rizzo has increased his business knowledge and gained experience in multiple areas and regions of operations, which enabled him to navigate Tupy’s entire value chain, from operations to customer service.
In addition to earning specialization degrees from CEAG FGV/SP and Stanford,
Mr. Fernando Cestari de Rizzo has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP) and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Indiana University (Bloomington, IN, USA).
