Fittings

TupyBSP

Are produced in accordance with ABNT NBR 6943, ISO 49 and EN 10242 standards, for use in transport of fluids: hot and cold water, steam, liquid and gas fuels, hydraulic oils in general, compressed air, gases in general, etc., within the pressure and temperature specified in the standards. They are intended to connect threaded items according to ABNT NBR NM-ISO 7-1, where the sealing gasket under pressure is made by the thread, in nominal dimensions from ¼” to 6”.

Made of malleable cast iron to meet at least the mechanical properties provisioned in ISO 5922 and EN 1562 standards.

Material

Are produced in black finish (oiled only) and hot galvanizing (hot dip zinc-coating), according to ABNT NBR 6323 and ISO 1461 standards, both of them protected with non-toxic oil. Note on potability: Tupy BSP pipe fittings can be used in potable water pipework, as the substances applied on them meet the parameters prescribed by the Brazilian Ministry of Health, by its Consolidation Ordinance No. 5, of 10/03/17. Other special coatings, such as Epoxy, Cataphoretic (KTL) and Hybrid painting, Double Galvanization, etc., can be supplied upon request.

Finishing

Tupy BSP pipe fittings are obligatorily certified by ABNT, in compliance with ordinance Brazilian institute Inmetro No. 160, UL (UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES) listed, certified by FM Approvals LLC and DVGW (Deutsche Verein des Gas- und Wasserfaches); the last three being international quality certification bodies.
