TupyPres

They comprise a solution different from the traditional threaded ones. They are also manufactured in malleable cast iron, but with double galvanization, and join are joined to steel pipes (*) with plain ends, without requiring tapping, grooving and welds. Therefore, they require less time in new installations, and also maintenance works in steel pipe sections, which would not have conditions to be repaired by using the traditional processes.
(*) also developed for some HDPE pipe diameters.

They are made of malleable cast iron to meet at least the mechanical properties provisioned in ISO 5922 and EN 1562 standards. Tupy PRES are produced in malleable cast iron, class JMB 350-10 (350 MPa and 10% elongation).

Material

Double Galvanization (hot and electroplating); Epoxy painting (for parts using PE pipes).
Note on potability: Tupy PRES pipe fittings can be used in potable water pipework, as the substances applied on them meet the parameters prescribed by the Brazilian Ministry of Health, by its Consolidation Ordinance No. 5, of 10/03/17.

Finishing

Industry: Fire prevention and fighting system (hydrant and sprinkler), cooling system/chilled water system, treated reclaimed water, and compressed air, etc.
Civil Construction: Fire prevention and fighting system (hydrant and sprinkler), cooling/chilled water system, etc.
Note: Tupy Grooved Couplings are not recommended for use with Petroleum byproduct oils and fuels, hydrocarbon-based solvents and aromatic hydrocarbons.
