Report from the Brazilian multinational presents the Company’s progress in 2022 regarding the strategy of sustainability, innovation and technology

Tupy has just published the Company’s sustainability report that shows data on the operations of the past year and the results in relation to economic, environmental and social aspects. The report shows several circular economy initiatives, including the transformation of more than 650 thousand tons of metal scrap into products of high geometric and metallurgical complexity, the regeneration of another 350 thousand tons of sand and the reuse of 93% of industrial and sanitary effluents.

The document also emphasizes initiatives related to the commitment to human, intellectual and social capital. The Company ended the year with over 19 thousand collaborators, of 26 nationalities, and promoted around 389 thousand hours of training and skill building. Focused on research and development projects, the Company invested R$ 36 million to develop new products and new business opportunities. Also, actions were promoted in the community, with 2.1 million invested in social projects and 19,200 people impacted.

The search for sustainable solutions to current challenges translates into both internal practices and the development of products, services and technologies that contribute to the future and, in parallel, change realities now.

“In a world of 8 billion people, with projected growth and increased life expectancy, it is estimated that primary energy availability will need to increase by 30% by 2040. The challenge is to collaborate to meet this demand in an economic way and reduce the effects of climate change. At Tupy, we have dedicated our technological investment to promote solutions that increase energy efficiency throughout society, harness all available energy and promote new technologies”, says Fernando de Rizzo, CEO of Tupy.
