26th edition of the International Congress of Mechanical Engineering has the participation of Tupy

Company leaders participate in the program giving lectures throughout the week, in the edition that celebrates 50 years of the event

Tupy, a Brazilian multinational, sponsors the 26th edition of the International Congress of Mechanical Engineering, promoted by the Brazilian Association of Engineering and Mechanical Sciences and organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC).

The forum is considered the main scientific event in Mechanical engineering in Latin America and has the average participation of a thousand people and approximately 800 published works, occurring every two years, since 1971.

Cássio Andrade, executive officer of Corporate Machining at Tupy, is one of the keynote speakers of the event and will talk about the relationship between companies and universities, from his experience at Tupy. “The proximity to university is part of the company’s way of innovating since before its creation, when its founders sought technical knowledge at a German university to develop the formula of malleable iron in Brazil. Since then, the Company continues to invest in this relationship, with long-term partnerships and a lot of results, “says Cássio.
