Tupy, a multinational benchmark in the production of structural components for capital goods, is among the 10 largest Brazilian companies of the Metallurgical and Steel sector, according to the Valor 1000 ranking prepared by the Valor Econômico newspaper, in partnership with Serasa Experian and the São Paulo School of Business Administration of Fundação Getulio Vargas. In the 22nd edition, Tupy earned the 137th place of the general ranking that takes into account the largest companies in Brazil – 51 positions above last year’s results.

The result reflects the market acceptance of a new Tupy, which seeks to be increasingly relevant to the low-carbon economy, based on a growth strategy linked to investments in sustainability and innovation.

The Valor Econômico newspaper’s yearbook enumerates the one thousand largest companies in Brazil based on the analysis of their financial performance. It stands out for the thorough evaluation of the selected companies, with present-day criteria and widespread use by financial analysis professionals. The choice of the best company from each sector is now based on innovative concepts, including the evaluation of ESG practices.
