December 13, 2021

Tupy donated funds for the purchase of video surgery equipment for the Children’s Hospital of Joinville. The institution is a reference in pediatrics and services are 100% funded by the Federal Government’s Health System (SUS). A symbolic ceremony was held yesterday afternoon (December 13) between representatives of the multinational company and the Hospital.

The campaign is part of the Christmas Angels (“Anjos do Natal”) project, which is in its 3rd edition and aims to offer even more quality care to children and teenagers. The goal for 2021 is to raise R$100,000 for the purchase of video surgery equipment, a surgical method that enables faster post-surgery recoveries with less pain so patients can regain their daily activities. The Children’s Hospital performs approximately 30 monthly procedures using this technique.

“Since its foundation, Tupy has contributed to the community through several social projects. Our donation is a continuation of the “Natal Luz” project, carried out annually by the Company, with the objective of offering a Christmas celebration for children in situations of social and economic vulnerability”, stated Hugo Zierth, the Social Responsibility Manager at Tupy.

In addition to the donation from Tupy, the project hopes to receive other supporters, individuals and companies. Those interested in participating in the Anjos do Natal project can contact the Social Projects department of the Children’s Hospital by calling (47) 3145-1848 or by WhatsApp (47) 99614-9647, from Monday to Friday, during business hours, or by sending an e-mail to projects@hjaf.org.br.
